Quilting 101: Quilted Tic-Tac-Toe Game

Hi! As most of you know we participate in a Keeper’s At Home girls group and this month I’m teaching quilting! Eeek! So I needed a fun and easy sewing project that would cover quilting basics, and that we’d be able to complete in one night.

So we ended up making this really cute tic-tac-toe board. It takes about an hour and a half to complete, and uses minimal supplies.

It’s also super beginner friendly, teaches basic quilting techniques all the way from piecing, quilting, and even binding! So it’s a great way to learn quilting basics as well!

I hope you enjoy it! Make sure to tag me if you use this tutorial to create your own projects!

I hope this helps inspire and encourage you all in your homeschooling journey as well!

  • This video is excellent! You sent me a link to it on Facebook. I finished a doll size quilt for my daughter for Christmas late last night. I kept pausing and referring to the video as I worked. I was so intimidated before; this really made it feel simple! Thank you!! My little quilt isn't perfect; but I did it!!

  • thanks much for this. this is going to be my first ever sewing project. I'll let you know how it goes.

  • Cute!
